I am extremely proud to be the Principal at MK Rawlings Elementary. It is my mission to ensure a positive learning environment that encourages family engagement, integrity and always doing what is best for students. I look forward to continuing the traditions that make Rawlings a school of academic and cultural excellence that provides memorable experiences for students.
At Rawlings, we focus on a rigorous curriculum, engaging culture and climate and continual celebrations with and for all. Together, we will continue to provide outstanding academic opportunities with a renewed focus on writing while supporting the growth of the whole child.

Christina Powers
I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of M.K. Rawlings Elementary School. As I begin my 20th year in education, I remain committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg , and my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from St. Petersburg College. Throughout my career, I have served as a teacher, instructional coach, mentor, assistant principal, and school leader, always focused on improving outcomes for students and supporting educators.
I believe strong relationships, high expectations, and a positive school culture are the foundation of student success. I look forward to partnering with our students, families, staff, and community as we work together to ensure every child learns, grows, and succeeds.
